Father,
I pray I would be a woman of noble character like Ruth. I desire to be a good woman, filled with grace and virtue. Like Ruth, when people see me, let them see a woman whose conduct and behavior is that of strength, bravery, faithfulness, kindness, and capability. Father, will you help me manifest all these attributes in myself. I pray I would be a crown to my husband’s head, more precious to him than rubies. Father, please bless my life with favor, as you blessed Ruth’s.

Ruth 1:16-17: “Ruth said, ‘Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”
Prayer: Father God, the words of Ruth are the cry of my heart for our family, for my marriage. You have brought us together, may nothing tear us apart. May my husband and children know that where they go – both physically, emotionally or spiritually, I am right there with them. Nothing they can do will stop me from loving them. Help me to love more like You love, Father. Help us to love each other with an unconditional love. May my children be secure in my love for my husband, his love for me, and our love for them. Strengthen the love you have given my husband and me. Help us to be proactive and intentional about spending time together and putting our marriage first. Teach us to love like You do. -
May my soul, spirit and body be refreshed this weekend. Let every trouble in my life disappear and let the peace of the Lord that passeth all understanding be my portion. Let this weekend bring me abundant joy like never before, in Jesus name. Amen! -
God’s Word Prayer
Everlasting God, we praise you for your love for every woman in this room. We pray that you would speak a clear word to us today. We call on you to meet our needs and satisfy our desires. We desire to be women of prayer, who cry to you without ceasing. Motivate us to pray for our parents, husbands, children, siblings and friends. May we look to you as our first option rather than our last resort. We thank you that we can entrust our loved ones to your gracious and compassionate care. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen. -
God, thank you for bringing us together today. While it's sometimes hard to make time to be together, we pray you will help us to enjoy these next few hours together. We are reminded that today is about relationships, not just a meal, but the people you have brought together. Help us to enjoy the laughter, conversations, and memories we make on this day. Thank you for the day off that makes this possible. Thank you also for the hands that have prepared the meal, and we pray the energy we receive from it will empower us to do what is pleasing to you and speak your love, grace, and mercy to others. Amen.

God, this year has been hard for many of us at this table. While this is a sweet moment, it's also hard. The challenges we have faced this year have been overwhelming, and as we gather today, we cannot ignore the fact that these feelings still linger as does the pain. But for these next few hours, we remember that you are a God who loves us, cares for us, heals us, and forgives us. Help us to enjoy this time. In the lingering bitterness give us peace. We thank you for this meal and pray a blessing for our strength. Amen.
